Damp and dreary start, but improving from the west
Good morning, We've an occluded front extending north to south through the country this morning. It is producing some outbreaks of rain, a few of these moderate, but a tendency for them to become lighter through this morning. For many it is a typical damp and dreary November morning.
To the far east there are some brighter spells, although morning fog patches too. These should clear and there could be some cloud and spots of rain moving in this afternoon. To the west things are going to be turning drier. Western Scotland and Ireland are already becoming drier and brighter, and through the morning and into this afternoon the drier weather edges into the rest of Scotland, northwest England, Wales and southwest England.
Staying damp through the central portion of England with further outbreaks of rain, most of them light, but tending to fade by the evening.
A chilly night ahead, with a risk of a frost across Scotland and western parts of England and Wales as well as Ireland.
Have a great day. Simon me at simon.keeling@weatheronline.co.uk
