Garry: A few areas of showers around this afternoon, wintry over the hills. Plenty of dry and bright weather too, but feeling noticeably chilly compared to recent days.

Garry: Bright skies and sunshine this morning for central areas following the clearance of a cold front overnight. However, clusters of heavy showers are following into the west. In Scotland, remnants of snow in the Highlands will slowly fade.

Simon: More wet weather to come through eastern Ireland, Wales and northern England tonight. Another area of rain reaching Northern Ireland and turning to snow as it moves into central Scotland.

Simon: It's still raining heavily over southern Scotland and northern England as well as Wales and Northern Ireland. It is probably going to be staying wet for many of these areas this afternoon, although drier weather should follow from the west.

Matt: Cloudy and damp weather set to continue to dominate across far southern and south-western counties of England and perhaps S Wales this evening and overnight, milder here. Elsewhere though clear skies will dominate and a cold night ahead with frost quite widespread, especially in the north.

Simon: A chilly start out there this morning, frosty in many parts of England, Wales and Ireland. Cloud increases across Scotland and Ireland toorugh with some rain here, heaviest in the northwest.

John: a colder day today, especially when brisk north west winds kick in. While showers in the west and the Midlands fade this afternoon, a line of showers will edge onto North Sea coasts.

Garry: A weak frontal zone edges south across England & Wales today, bringing a grey and damp picture for many, but not much rain in total. Brighter skies for northern areas. A few showers western Scotland.

Simon: It's been a cold night. The day ahead will be fine and sunny for many, more cloud to the southeast and heading into western Scotland and Ireland.

Simon: As the front moves into eastern England it is now a weakening feature. However, it will be giving a damp night to southeast England and Eat Anglia. Skies clearing further north and west with a frost forming. Lows could be to 04C in sheltered spots tonight.

Matt: Wet weather very slow moving down the 'spine' of the UK, some locally heavy rain across N England, Wales, Midlands and SW England recently. Drier ahead of it, clearer and colder behind.

Matt: Distinct east and west split in temperatures today ahead of a front and behind it. Temperatures just 4C or 5C this morning across Ireland, but are nearing 12C across southern areas of England.

Simon: A cold front is bringing some heavy bursts of rain to Scotland, Wales and the far west of England this morning. It's edging slowly east, not reaching East Anglia and the far southeast until this evening. Cooler, brighter and drier weather follows to the west.
