John : Sunshine and frequent often heavy squally showers mainly of rain though some of hail for the afternoon across many areas of England and Wales, showers will occur in bands and/or clusters accompanied by sudden increase of wind speed. Temperatures 7C for northern England near 10C midlands and south though drops in temperature during and near showers. Showers likely to be of snow for Cotswolds to Chilterns, Black Mtns, Snowdonia and Cumbria as well as across York Moors, Peaks and Cheviots.

John : Sunshine and blustery often heavy showers for most today, rain clearing through the Western Isles this morning with sunshine to follow, outbreaks of rain presently Ayrshire, Galloway to Fife will persist for a time this morning will clear to sunshine and showers through the afternoon. Cloudy with showers becoming frequent and heavy Devon to Cornwall to Hampshire, into Oxfordshire across to Norfolk during the morning and into the afternoon, cool with a fresh SW wind. Mainly dry with sunshine though scattered showers for Yorkshire to Northumberland.
