John: A cool northwest wind prevails across the country today and this will bring occasional showers to Cornwall up through Wales, into northwest England and Scotland.

Simon: Sunshine and showers through today, most of them from Manchester northwards, an odd heavy one in the west here. A cool breeze for all.

Simon: Showers in the north and west today, some of them could be on the heavy side. Sunny spells to the south and east and mainly dry too.

John: Heavy rain will move into north west England and Wales during the morning and afternoon. Southern parts of England looks essentially dry.

Simon: The best of the sunshine today will be in the east, always more cloud to the west with the risk of some drizzle on the coast.

Simon: Scattered showers this morning, these easing this afternoon and becoming brighter, but further showers in north. Windy through Scotland with gales.
