Simon: Dull and damp north Midlands, north Wales and parts of the south of northern England today, torrential showers to south. Drier for the rest of northern England and Scotland.

Simon: Rain now covering much of S Wales and AS England, winds increasing,not good for my hot air ballooning friends (again)!

Simon: Rain in southern Ireland & SW England spreading east across southern England today. Rain in northern and eastern E Scotland too. Rain in south Wales this afternoon.

John: Heavy rain will affect much of Scotland and parts of northern England throughout the day while further heavy showers develop across the rest of the country.

Simon: More cloud and rain today, most of it focussed through northern England and Scotland, with some hefty showers across southern parts of England and Wales too.

Simon: Keep everything crossed! There are some hints of an improvement in the weather beginning around the 17th July. It won't be good news for all parts of the country as rain is still likely to affect the northern half.
