Simon: Winds easing further tonight. Get set for a cold one as the skies clear. But also look for the jewels in the evening sky, Venus in the NW and Jupiter in the SW.

Simon: Winds easing this afternoon. Staying sunny for most, just bits of cloud in the east.

Simon: Cool today but then temperatures are on the rise with a heatwave on it's way next week!

Simon: A chilly night ahead. Temperatures falling close to freezing in some rural parts of Scotland with a ground frost possible in parts of northern England and Ireland too.

Simon: It's been a wet night in Scotland. Most rain is nw clearing east and sunnier weather is arriving from the west. Bits of cloud and patchy rain in northern England and Wales, heading southeast.

Matt: A warm and muggy evening and night ahead for many, with the exception of central and northern areas of Scotland. Temperatures in towns and cities, across England and Wales, no lower than 14C or 15C. Wet weather moves across the north too, some heavy rain across N Ireland, Scotland and the far north of England.

Matt: Fine weather continues across most areas with some bright or sunny spells, despite variable cloud. But thicker cloud with outbreaks of rain will continue to develop across N Ireland pushing into parts of Scotland through the early afternoon.

Matt: Fine start to the day with some sunshine, especially in the north and east. Warm night last night in the south, temps didn't fall below 18C at Exeter and St James Park, while in complete contrast temps dropped to just 2C at Cairnwell across the Highlands!

Matt: Patchy rain or drizzle moves eastwards across some central areas this evening and overnight, otherwise a lot of dry weather with clear spells and variable cloud. Distinct temperature difference; mild in the south, chilly in the north!

Matt: Fine weather continues for many areas with variable cloud and bright or sunny spells, best of these in the south and east where it is pleasantly warm, but cooler further north and west where it is also rather windy too.
