Simon: A cold night ahead. Temperatures falling sharply under clear skies over Scotland, Ireland and Wales. The cloud through England at the moment should largely clear. A frost forming through the north and west, lows of -1C in the air.

Simon: Rain over northeast England this morning should fade into this afternoon. Generally it is an improving day with sunny spells coming through. That sets us up for a cold night with a widespread frost.

Simon: Heavy showers now affecting much of northwest England where it looks toroughly wet in Cumbria and western Lancashire right now. Further heavy showers spreading to Wales and more to move into Cornwall in the next few hours.

Simon: An area of heavy rain spreading southeast through Wales, partsof the Midlands and southwest England this afternoon. Feeling really cold here too as low prssure passes overhead.

John: This morning look out for dense fog in the Humberside area. We have an area of rain coming into western Britain this morning and through the day this will make it's way steadily eastward clearing eastern England this evening. Peering well into the month, there's no sign of high pressure so afraid it's more of the same for a while.

John: Heavy showers across Northern Ireland, north east Wales, north west England and western England will develop further through the day, merging into longer spells of persistent rain across Wales and this is expected to spread into south west England.

Simon: Heavy showers extending from Northern Ireland and through north and central wales, now heading into the Midlands are going to give several hours of rainfall. Flooding is likely on roads and pavements, especially as many drains are blocked by fallen leaves.

Simon: A band of heavy showers moving south through the Midlands and Wales right now. More heavy rain following through Northern Ireland and spreading into wales and the Midlands tonight. I would not be surprised to see some local flooding.

Simon: Get set for heavy showers today. They will be thundery in places, the focus for them across northern and western areas. More persistent rain for Northern Ireland this afternoon, this then slips into Wales tonight.
